The Dog who was There is a fictional story from the view of a dog during the time of Jesus’ ministry and crucifixion. The Dog who was There demonstrates love, hurt, sin, mercy, grace, and forgiveness. A dog leads many lives, through these marvelous pages, within his one lifetime. Good times and bad times alternate his journies just like a roller coaster ride. There are many characteristics which he meets along the way, each one adding wisdom to his plate of knowledge.

The Dog who was There became a favorite read and page-turner for me. My heart warmed with joy as well as sobbed with sadness. The teachings of Jesus are mentioned and examples are given within the story itself. I would love to have a dog like Barley.
