Raw Faith is the kind of faith that we all should have in every situation and Kasey shows us why in this book. Raw Faith takes the reader on a journey of the author’s experience with cancer and trust in God. The center focus of Raw Faith is not put upon the cancer, but what really is and how to obtain it. Raw Faith starts out by explaining the illusion which many people have of what is faith and starts to bring the truth of faith to the surface. The majority of the chapters start out as a diary entry, making note of each part of Kasey’s journey with cancer. The entries display her struggle and how God is right there with her through it all. Following each diary entry is an explanation of faith which relates to the entry. Each explanation of faith includes Biblical scripture and sometimes a story from the Bible.
I found Raw Faith to be very interesting and it prompted me to examine my own Faith and see what I can do to make it stronger. The suggestions it gave, on reaching raw faith, made a lot of sense and were very helpful. Everything in Raw Faith was easy to understand and to apply.
I would highly recommend Raw Faith to all readers!
