I Prayed for You Boardbook
By Jean Fisher & Frank Endersby (Illustrator) / Thomas Nelson
Mama Bear shares with Baby Bear how much she prayed for her, even before Baby Bear was born. And each and every day, Mama prays and asks God to help Baby Bear grow big and strong, be safe, love God, and be good to others. From before these sweet babies are born, and for every part of their futures, Mama covers them in prayer. Every spread will share a different prayer, and mamas everywhere will resonate with this eternally important message. Recommended for ages 0 to 4 years.

I Prayed for You is an excellent board book for all young children 0+ in age. It can be read to a child, a child can look through its pages, and later as a child becomes older they can read it themselves or make up a story from the pictures and memory of the story being told to them. The story itself is about a mother bear who has prayed for her young cub through all stages of the cub’s young life, even before the cub was born.
First of all, the artwork is beyond beautiful! Each page is full of so much imagery and color! I loved all of the pages and my 1-year old son did as well. My son is at the stage where he loves books, but he also is fond of ripping out paper pages and chewing on the bindings. I Prayed for You is a quality engineered board book.
There is rhythm and rhyme to each paragraph and even within the prayers written at the bottom of the page. You can feel the love from the mother bear in each stage of life and her dependence upon God to bring both her and her cub through each circumstance.
Most of all I Prayed for You touches me in a personal way. I prayed for my son almost 2 decades before his arrival and about 14 years before God gave me his name, letting me know I was to have a son.
I recommend this book for all children!
