Bedtime Devotions with Jesus: My Daily Devotional for Kids-Board Book
By Johnny Hunt / Thomas Nelson
Trustworthy devotional moms and dads can use to make bedtime family time, faith time. After the busyness of the day is done, before your child nods off to sleep, snuggle up to read God’s Word and daily reminders about how much He loves and takes care of us. Bedtime Devotions with Jesus is a collection of prayers and devotions written by pastors, pastor’s wives, children’s ministers, and other church leaders.
In this book are valuable lessons on such topics as thankfulness, obedience, trusting God, being kind, loving others, and many more. God’s Word comes alive using simple language, and the devotions are featured with delightful illustrations of teddy bears. This book will teach children ages 4-8 the value and joy of spending time with God every day. Each devotional includes a scripture, a brief devotional reading, a prayer, and a meaningful takeaway that helps children build a strong foundation of faith.

Bedtime Devotions With Jesus is a child’s devotional which can be read at bedtime or any time. Biblical truths and behaviors fill each topic of devotion in order to educate, bring understanding, and to share examples of life’s events.
Each week a particular topic area is explored in each day of that week. The week starts with Monday and ends with the weekend. A tab on the side of each page alerts the reader to which week and day the devotion is written for in the context of the devotional as a whole. The devotion starts off with a topic title and related scripture verse. The devotion is written in an easy-to-understand style for children, followed by a short prayer. The day’s devotion ends with a short statement reminding the child what they can do to follow through in their own life with what has been learned in the devotion. The cover and interior design, by Kristy Edwards, is perfectly done for a child’s perspective. This is a high quality made child’s book.
My is one-years old and is not yet ready to be drawn to the content level of Bedtime Devotions With Jesus. However, it will not be long before it will be included with our nightly bedtime traditions.
I highly recommend Bedtime Devotions With Jesus for young readers and parents of young children.
