A Call to Resurgence: Will Christianity Have a Funeral or a Future?
By Mark Driscoll / Tyndale House
Did you know that there are more left-handed people in America than evangelical Christians? Exposing the falsehood that Christianity is alive and well in our postmodern culture, Driscoll calls us to unite around Jesus, anchor ourselves in the essentials of God’s Word, and join the resurgence of faith that will transform the church and our society. 220 pages, hardcover from Tyndale.

A Call To Resurgence brings up areas in Christianity which others may not dare to tread or speak out about. It goes on to explain the true mission which all of us as Christians are called to do. Driscoll describes the many denominations of Christianity, which can be looked at as tribes of Christianity. Even though there many tribes, we are all called to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ as we are His followers.
I liked how truthful and straightforward Driscoll was in the material throughout his book. He provided fresh information of which I was not even aware of until now. There did not seem to be a part within the book that I disliked. What I took from Driscoll’s writing is that our focus cannot remain on the temporal and insignificant issues, but must be placed on spreading the gospel and living the life which Jesus called us all to live.
I recommend this book to those who have experienced dry times in the service to Christ and need the fire to be re-lit.
