4o Days Through Daniel provides historical and cultural knowledge of the book of Daniel. This is mostly done by breaking down each verse and digging deep within it. The result is a deeper understanding of the book of Daniel and the events within, as well as how the book of Daniel applies to our lives.
For each day of the 40 Days there is particular scripture assigned to read. After the verses have been read, they are gone over section-by-section, breaking down the meaning behind them. In breaking them down there is quite a bit of detailed information covered. Once the verses have been broken down, major themes are pointed out and elaborated on. Following this are cross references for even further study. Then there comes the section where it shows how the scripture pertains to us now and our lifestyle. Each day ends with reflection questions. As you can see, each day carries with it an in-depth study of a portion from the book of Daniel.
I found 40 Days Through Daniel to be insightful and informative. It provided me with a different perspective on the events included within Daniel, like a behind-the-scenes sneak peak. The cultural information, which I gained, seemed to be quite interesting.
