Happy Valentine’s Day!!! Not all of us have a special sweet heart to call our own today; to send or receive flowers, to send or receive chocolates, to send or receive jewelry. However, there is one that would love to be your valentine forever and ever more. His name is Jesus…He would love for you to give Him your heart today. On this special love-filled occasion, I would like to share with you the love chapter from God’s Word.

Charity hears is referred to as love, agape (spontaneous and divine love). The summary of Love is “Patience (love passive); no hurry; suffers long; bears, believes, hopes, and endures all things” (Dake, 2011, p.325NT).

“Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,” (1 Corinthians 13:4)
“Kindness (Love in Action); never acts rashly or insolently; not inconsistent, puffed up, or proud” (Dake, 2011, p.325NT)
“Generosity (Love in Competition); not envious or jealous” (Dake, 2011, p.325NT)
“Humility (Love in Hiding); no parade; no airs; works then retires” (Dake, 2011, p.325NT)

“Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;” (1 Corinthians 13:5)

“Courtesy (Love in Society); does not behave unseemly; always polite; at home with all classes; never rude or discourteous” (Dake,2011,p.325NT)
“Unselfishness (Love in Essence); never selfish, sour,or bitter; seeks only good of others; does not retaliate or seek revenge” (Dake, 2011, p.325NT
“Good Temper (Love in Disposition); never irritated; never resentful” (Dake, 2011, p.325NT)

“Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things” (1 Corinthians 13:6-7).

“Righteousness (Love in Conduct); hates sin; never glad when others go wrong; always gladdened by goodness to others; always slow to expose; always eager to believe the best; always hopeful, always enduring” (Dake, 2011, p.325NT)
“Sincerity (Love in Profession); never boastful and conceited; not a hypocrite; always honest; leaves no impression but what is strictly true; never self-assertive; does not blaze out in passionate anger, nor brood over wrongs; always just, joyful, and truthful; knows how to be silent; full of trust; always present” (Dake, 2011, p.325NT).

Let us not just save LOVE for Valentine’s Day, but let us walk in God’s LOVE everyday of the year.
